I keep on falling......

It's never fun to trip over a box in a supermarket, scream on your way down and earn yourself a LOT of unwanted attention......

K Bye....

Decorate Me!!!

That's what my apartment has been yelling. I heard the cry ( plus been going on Apartment Therapy which just adds fuel to the fire) and went out today to get some cushions and accesories...but EVERYWHERE is closed! Yup lock down on Easter Monday, except for one supermarket and a few other places. So my dear apartment you shall have to wait a bit longer.....

I need to get off this island..been way too long and I'm tired of seeing the same people, hearing about the same people, talking to the same people AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! ( whispers: Help me! )

Some pics from Beach #2 located on the other end of the island..really nice and low key and has shade! Too far though....

Quest for the perfect beach spot and more....

What a week it has been!!! Went on a Community Drive last week and tried to register job seekers. It was a nice break from the office but it was also very tiring and after 4 days of that , we had a Job Fair at the University College. While that was not a smuch work, it was quite boring and it was a tad hilarious to have six of us sharing a small booth made for three..ahh the ridiculous planning ideas of The Man.

Speaking of The Man, it appears mutiny is pending......

In my search for the perfect beach spot, I found myself two weeks ago driving on the Western tip of the island, following a 'guide' of secluded beaches. Ended up on quite a few lonely roads until I found 'Beach' # 1. Since tourists and expats are usually to be found on the Seven Mile Beach stretch, I'm trying to find a nice chill spot where I can be near the ocean without the excitement. This was a nice chill quiet spot, a bit windy but really relaxing. A few people came by but quiet for the most part and icing ont he cake, right across the fence is Dolvin Cove, so I got to see a Dolphin show for free! On this Sunday, I wanted a nice spot to get some studying done..this one might just be my 'Study Beach'.... what do you think??

The perfect spot ( on a less windy day)..I kept getting splashed!

Brrrrr...

It is so cold!!! I'm glad for a break from the heat I'll admit but it's a tad nippy for  my liking.

Had two classes with Sylvan this week, good so far, quite pleasant and already feeling job satisfaction, which is mroe than I can say for the other job. Mind you I like my job but it can be quite frustrating to help people and not have them pull their weight.....

On a totally different note..am I the only former Nihon resident who still mumbles occasionally in Japanese?I find that almost three years after leaving I still say stuff like 'nani' 'daijoubu' to co-workers who don't understand a lick....hmmmmm
